The long and narrow sandy beach at Porth is flanked by cliffs and is popular with families. The hotel is only a mile from Newquay - Cornwall's liveliest resort, so our hotel is quieter and ideal for couples and families.

Bedrooms

There are 13 bedrooms, all with a private shower or bath, toilet, TV and tea maker. Some bedrooms have sea views at an extra supplement (on request only). Family rooms are also available.

Dining

Pendeen Hotel serves a full English breakfast, served daily. Dinner is available at our sister hotel Porth Veor Manor Hotel just 200 yards away. There is table d'hote dinner at just 12 with an a la carte menu also available. Dinner reservations can be made with The Pendeen reception.

Cornwall

The history of Cornwall is rich and vivid - there are towns and villages that date back hundreds of years and narrow winding streets which lead down to the harbour. There are many unusual and distinctively Cornish place names alluding to the native language. Look out for towns and villages named after saints, such as St Agnes, St Austell and St Ives which refer to the early Celtic Christian missionaries who first brought Christianity to Cornwall.

Cornwall also offers modern facilities such as art galleries, fantastic shopping with high street stores and unique boutiques and craft shops cheek by jowl. The beach at Porth is ideal for families – very wide with lots of room to build the biggest and best sandcastles and then to explore the many rock pools. Porth beach is regarded as one of the safest beaches for swimming in the Newquay area.
